Learn What’s New For Content Marketing in 2021

Content Marketing 2021

People wished 2020 to be a great year. Most of them claimed it would be a year where things would be better for them. They planned for it and set their goals by writing their new year’s resolution. But then, this pandemic happened.

The new normal canceled most of our plans. It’s the same for brands. Pretty sure there are a lot of ideas they had to halt, not to mention the hard time they went through adjusting to cater to the new sense of normalcy too.

Back when things were normal, content strategizing was already challenging. Imagine doing it and coming up with a new strategy during a pandemic—it’s double that!

Welcome to new normal content, everyone!

The new normal became a challenge for brands to make their content relevant, but it managed to survive in 2020, and a lot of fresh strategies were born. But, this year is almost over. We are all ready for a new year, a fresh start, hopefully, a better situation, and with a new content strategy.

Now, what’s new when it comes to content marketing for 2021?

  1. Digital Mapping

This strategy is not exactly new. But brands are improving their approach to this, and it will be more relevant in the coming years.

For some who have not heard about this, digital mapping is a type of content where the customer’s journey is illustrated in graphics to make things easier for them.

  1. Carousel

No, it’s not the rides we see on amusement parks, but it’s similar.  This content strategy uses a series of photos in one single post. It is commonly seen on Facebook and Instagram.

It’s just like a slideshow, only better and more creative.

  1. Podcasts

They have been a thing for a couple of decades already. But they are relatively new when it comes to content creation for brands.

Brands would soon discover the benefits of using podcasts. Generally, it is about gaining more visibility and improving engagement through short podcast content about a brand.

  1. Tik Tok

Believe it or not, this will work.

It’s starting now and is highly effective.  The contents in this platform are not more than a minute, and this world’s attention span is getting shorter.

Tik Tok, as a strategy, will work, especially if your target is millennials. They are the majority of the 850 million users.

Consumers enjoy personalized and concise content nowadays. Also, they respond more to funny and witty content as it immediately catches their attention.

Content does not always have to be new. But, do not forget new strategies either. People get tired of having the same type of content over and over. It has to have variety.
