This day proved that indeed, the Philippines has got so much creative talent that is to be proud of.On its second run, CREATE Philippines was successfully held at the Globe Tower in Bonifacio Global City from September 22-23, 2018. Basically, CREATE Philippines gathers local creative institutions, agencies, freelancers, talents, and even students to take part in the exchange of knowledge and learnings on creative content and services.Of course, the Motion Cabin team didn’t let this opportunity to become part of such a prestigious event to pass. On its first-ever participation to the event, the Motion Cabin team set up a booth at the exhibit area, along with other creative agencies, as they showcased their portfolio of character designs, tutorials, animations, and the like.
With the theme Communication Design, the 2-day event focused on discussions and masterclasses that provided insights and lessons on the multidisciplinary practices that shapes ideas and information. The media landscape, especially in the digital world, is progressing drastically, so CREATE Philippines surely became a great platform to learn more about creating online content. One of the masterclass speakers was Emmy Award Winner and International creative consultant Chris Do, who had a session on “the business of design”, and a hands-on workshop with the attendees. The Motion Cabin team was also lucky enough to have met Chris Do who really is an inspiration to every creative out there.Speakers also included Mark Joseph Deutsch, Co-founder of Happy Garaje; Raxenne Dosher Maniquiz, graphic designer and illustrator for Plus 63 Design Co.; Rollan Bañez, also known as the Creative Cloud Evangelist of the Philippines; Paolo Mercado, Creative Economy Council of the Philippines (CECP) President; Jowee Alviar, CDAP president and TeamManila founder; and Angel Guerrero, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Adobo Magazine.
